We had read the reviews of Avalon Lodge and then decide, Avalon may look like your ordinary motel from the outside, but it is not. It is a hidden gem. The room is spacious and the fireplace, the carpet was clean, the bed comfortable, the bathroom features a large shower, beautiful and white robes. Steps from a private beach and a few local attractions and restaurants, yet very peaceful. The staff was friendly. Best of all, free breakfast: a bowl of fresh blueberries, home-made cakes, fresh yogurt, juice, oatmeal. Two night stay during the trip.
